Hand-harvested from high-elevation vineyards, these meticulously crafted Bordeaux-style blends are a true testament to Sonoma County’s terroir. The names of these wines draw inspiration from the 600-liter French oak barrels used for the fermentation and aging process, imbuing each wine with remarkable depth and character. Our 600R is an homage to the Right Bank Bordeaux blends of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, while our 600L honors the Left Bank’s Cabernet Sauvignon blends.
Since its launch in 2019, we have highlighted the unique expression of 200 rugged acres on Cooley Ranch Vineyard, an iconic and remote property high in the mountains above Lake Sonoma in norther Sonoma County – a site Justin Seidenfeld, SVP of Winemaking and Winegrowing, refers to as the last great vineyard.
In old farming parlance, a “rowen” is a second harvest in one season, or “an unexpected windfall.” For Seidenfeld, it is fitting that a brand with the same name has enjoyed such monumental success.
